Tori Norman was born and raised in Atlanta, and attended High Point Elementary for two years then continued at Ridgeview Middle School. At Riverwood International Charter High School, she combined her interests by completing both a health pathway with sports medicine specialization and visual arts pathway. Additionally, she participated in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program where she was able to pursue her love of learning. In alignment with her goal to become a Professional Physical Therapist, Tori has committed to Florida State University with an Exercise Physiology Major and will be spending her First Year Abroad in Valencia, Spain. She looks forward to learning Spanish, nurturing her passion for art as a hobby, and exploring the diverse culture that Europe has to offer! |

Yair Chavez is also a native Atlantan who went to Lake Forest Elementary and Ridgeview Middle School before attending Riverwood International High School. He enjoys playing soccer and basketball, and spending time with his family, which includes 4 younger siblings. Yair had a slight detour in his young life, suffering a severe head injury from a skateboarding accident at the age of 13. He was in a coma for one month and spent a total of three months at CHOA. Even though he had to completely re-learn how to walk and speak and feed himself, he managed to return to class and finish middle school without losing any credits. He will attend Chattahoochee Tech in the fall, majoring in Supply Management and Logistics. Having faced significant challenges throughout his school years, he says he is “extremely glad to be here, walking on that stage to receive my diploma”, and he hopes to influence his brothers and sisters to do the same. |
