2020 Annual Meeting

HIGH POINT CIVIC ASSOCIATION 2020 ANNUAL MEETING
Postponed

Dear High Point Civic Association Members and Friends:

Given all the events in the past week related to COVID-19,
  • and the Public Health recommendations for social distancing,
  • and the City of Sandy Springs’ postponement of public meetings,
  • and the City Council meeting on March 17 available via livestream,
  • and the possibility that many of our annual meeting attendees will be over 60 years old …
… the Association board has approved the indefinite postponement of our Annual Meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th.

One of the purposes of this meeting was to vote for this year’s slate of Association board members, who are your neighbors contributing time and talents to make High Pont the best place to live in Sandy Springs.

Therefore, in lieu of a live meeting, we will send that slate to you via e-mail on Wednesday, March 25th and, through a voting link, will ask for your vote either:
         - in favor of the full board;
         - in opposition to the full board;
         - or in favor with exception.

Voting will be done electronically via the internet.  You will have 7 days in which to complete your vote.

Please note two things:

First, you must be a member in good standing in order to vote.  This means that your annual dues have been paid AND that you live (not just own property) in the Association area.  You are on your honor that both of these requirements are met.  Renewing membership is easy on line at:  www.highpointcivic.org and click on Membership to either join or rejoin.

Second, we had planned at the meeting to encourage you to contribute to our annual scholarship fund for two Riverwood High School graduating seniors.  Selected in May, these will be Title I students, who have attended High Point Elementary and/or Ridgeview Middle School and plan to attend college.  All contributions through April 30th will be donated to those two deserving students, plus an additional $1,000 from the Association.  Your contributions are NOT tax deductible, but will be very much appreciated.
Click Here to donate.

If you prefer to send a check for membership and/or scholarship donation, you may do so at HPCA, PO Box 420216, Sandy Springs, GA 30342.

Thank you.  Please stay well and in good health as we defeat this virus locally, nationally and globally.
